I go water the garden when I get home from work. It needs to be done, and no one wants to get close to a crabby woman with a hose!

This would be so perfect in our bathroom, I’d love to win. My mini-getaways usually involve leaving the kids with my husband and doing some shopping on my own. “Browsing” is such a luxury when you have two little ones!

When I need to relax, I usually curl up in bed and get caught up on my DVR. Most of the time, I fall asleep. LOL.

With 2 small children (ages 18 months & 3), life can get craaazy! So when the hubby is home, I like to sneak off to Target every now and again to wander around aimlessly ALL.BY.MYSELF !! I browse…taking my time..and enjoy every minute of it!!!

When I need some me time I have my husband watch the kids while I run some errands. Even buying groceries alone can be a treat after a long week with the kids.
LEAF ME ALONE! I retreat to my master bedroom since it’s in the back of the house removed from the main living areas and stays the quietest. If I take my laptop in there, my husband knows to give me some space to unwind. 🙂

Sometimes a bit of chocolate or a glass of wine can help me recharge. I love time in the backyard gazebo or cutting fresh flowers to stick in a favorite old milk jug or old blue Mason jar.

I am usually not 100% alone, since I have four kiddos. However, I love to just sit on the back deck reading a book, while I listen to the squeals and giggles of the kids playing on the play structure or the trampoline. Those sounds are the most relaxing to me.

If it’s at work, I like to unwind with a 15 minute walk in a nearby park. At home my favorite way to unwind is have my hubby watch over the baby while I give myself a pedicure!

As a mom of two very busy young boys it is hard to get away! But I love to just leaf though magazines on my bed while they bare sleeping or playing and of course when possible…sitting on the beach with a good book!

This might sound weird, but I go to the bathroom. It’s the one place where people just let you be and don’t bug you. While I’m there I try to do something just for me. Apply good lotion to my hands, dab on some cuticle oil, brush my hair, etc.

Tomorrow my 3 boys ages 10, 8, and 5 start school (the little one for the first time!) and you can bet your bottom dollar I’m going to be at starbucks with my feet up surfing the internet. I may even go have a pedicure!!! YAY!!!
