Gimme a Giveaway: Michelle Smith

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries, Thank You!***

Beautiful watercolor art is great, but what could make it better?  Make it functional.  That’s what Michelle Smith did, and I love the combination.  Michelle has turned her beautiful watercolor paintings into tea towels, pillow covers, fabric, and necklaces.

Spice things up in your kitchen with a tea towel or two, like this patterned beauty in mauve or this one in heartsy one in blue-green.

Get dolled up with a new necklace or bobby pins.  I love the ginko leaf pattern.

Cozy up in your living room with a new pink and coral pillow.

My favorite item in the shop is this flowers pillow cover.  So chic and posh.

Get sewing with original Michelle Smith fabric, too.

Who’s ready to win?  Alright, let’s get started.

The Goods: $35 shop credit good for or toward anything in the Michelle Smith Etsy shop.

Just for Fun: Tell us a rainy place you’ve visited or would like to visit, and if you’re feeling talkative, why.   Edit: Oops, I accidently left this from another giveaway.  You can either tell us your favorite rainy place in honor of watercolors.  Or, you can tell us who you’d love to have tea with.  You know, in honor of the tea towels.

  1. A rainy place that i love to visit is the woods surrounding my house. Walking through the trees, hearing the raindrops hit the leaves, and noticing the peaceful stop under the tree branches is magical.

  2. Best rainy place is Olympic Nat’l Park in WA. It rained the entire time (it is a rainforest) but it was worth it. I recommend staying in the cabins at Sol Duc Springs (no TVs, clocks, etc!). Very remote.
Michelle’s work is lovely. The watercolor tea towels are gorgeous.

  3. Subscribed!

I briefly stopped in Seattles airport and I’d love to see beyond there. Alaska was one of the rainiest places I’ve been. Sitka, the town I went to, gets as much rain as a rain forest!

  4. I subscribe to your blog via email! I would love to have tea with my favourite British gal, the lovely Kate Middleton!

  5. I subscribe to your blog! My favorite rainy place is Maui! Because it’s still warm and beautiful in the rain. I live in the Pacific Northwest, which is beautiful but not always warm! 🙂

  6. Email subscriber of yours.
I’d love to have tea with Dick Van Dyke. I love the shows he has been in and his sense of humor.

  7. I added her shop as a favorite and my favorite item is the Petite Woodland Green 18″ Silver Chain Necklace.

  8. Already a subscriber 🙂 Joe and I are going to England and Scotland on our honeymoon in less than 2 weeks so we’re excited for that (I hear it’s always rainy).

  9. Would love to win a pretty pillow! Favorite rainy place was the island of Kauaii…it rained every day we were there, it’s so beautiful!

  10. I am already a subscriber! The best place I visited when it rained was Hawaii. There were always rainbows too!

  11. Added michelle’s shop to my etsyfav’s and I like the ginkgo leaf pattern necklace best! I can think of so many things to wear it with 🙂
