We might be slow on the train, but we’ve decided to do a monthly wrap up. This way, we can look back on a month at a glance. Rather than a plain post with links to past projects, I thought it would be fun to make monthly acronyms. It might not be as cool as LASER or SCUBA, but let’s try. So, here’s October.
- Out with the old: Starting the kitchen demo by tearing out the soffit. We also tore out the old cabinets and floor.
- Cabinet building: Making our own kitchen cabinets and drawers. Another C could be countertop discussions and decisions. Or even compare and contrast between our house and another one up the street.
- Tearing down walls: We’ve made a lot of dust this month, including tearing down the wall between our kitchen and living room.
- Ordered appliances: A kick butt new range and a massive vent hood. And, we’ve installed the vent hood.
- Banging in nails: Both into our new hardwood floors and the stairwell for another gallery wall.
- Eventually finding the perfect color: Painting our master bathroom pink, three times.
- Rounding up our favs: Scouring Etsy for our favorite items to share with you. And we realized we need a kitchen sink. You know, for the dead deer and all.
Whew, that was one kitchen project packed month. What have you been working on this month?
P.S. We’ll be back later today with another kitchen update.
I love the acronym idea!
