My most memorable Valentine’s Day was Feb. 14, 2009. I took a train from my home in the suburbs to downtown Philly to have dinner with a guy I hadn’t seen since I was around 3 years old. I had recently found him on Facebook and sent him a message. We started talking and decided to meet up sometime soon. Being single and not really thinking about the date, I suggested that Saturday, only realizing AFTER I sent the message that I had inadvertently asked him out for Valentine’s Day!

What could have been horribly awkward turned out to be a great night. We’ll have been together 3 years this coming Valentine’s Day!

  2. three valentine’s days ago i was on a third date. the guy had written me a poem and asked me to be his girlfriend. all this just a week after the worst date ever when i completely ruined his amazing surprise ice skating plans. we’ve been married now for a year and a half 🙂

  3. I am a subscriber! My most memorable Valentine’s Day was when I was 12. I came home and my mom had gotten me a dozen peppermint carnations. I felt so special!

  4. And I favorited their shop. I love so many of the prints, but right now it’s a tie between “Queen Anne’s Quartet 5×5 Print” and “Serenity – 8×8 Print.”

  5. I already subscribe to you via email!
I think my most memorable Valentine’s Day will be this year because my hubby is taking me to Chicago! 🙂

  6. I subscribe! I dont really celebrate the day, but I like to celebrate the every day with my husband and son.

  7. I follow on Google Reader!

My most memorable Valentine’s Day was probably the first Valentine’s Day with my husband. We had just started dating I surprised him and came home for the weekend. We sat in his car and opened our gifts from each other and went to dinner the next night. It was simple and perfect. This year we are celebrating V-Day on the 15th since that’s closing day on our house we hope to celebrate both buying our first home and the day of love at the same time. 🙂

  8. My most memorable V-Day was the year my hubby took the time to create a special gift for me. He bought a daily desk calendar and wrote something special on every single day. It was so sweet.

My hubby and I don’t ‘do’ Valentine’s Day so my favorite was probably way back in college. My mom would send me the craziest care packages filled with Valentine decorations, random odds and ends and Ramen noodles 🙂

  10. I subscribe!

My favorite V-day was when my husband made me a coupon book for massages and hair washings. It was so fun!

  11. I follow you through Google Reader!

My best Valentine’s is yet to come…2012’s to be exact! My husband and I will be spending a week in Mexico for our belated honeymoon. Can’t wait!

  12. I subscribe through google reader (but usually check your site too–cause my google reader is wonky sometimes!).

My husband and I started making pizza on valentine’s day a few years ago because going out to eat was too expensive. Now pizza is our go-to meal–usually in the shape of a heart.

  13. I follow you through Google Reader. Your blog is full of great ideas.

my bf came up to where I was at college many years ago from his place 2 hours away to bring me flowers on Valentines day and arranged with my boss for me to have the night off. It was very sweet.

  14. I subscribe! I’m hoping my most memorable Valentine’s Day will be this year because we will be in HAWAII!!!

  15. Already a subscriber and ‘like’ you on fb!

Most memorable Valentine’s Day…actually it was Feb. 13, 2003…the day I met my husband! We met at the rehearsal for my older sister’s wedding…who was marrying his older brother!

  16. I subscribe via google reader! My most memorable Valentine’s day was the first one I spent with my now-hubby (20 years ago!)

  17. I subscribe too!
I guess my favorite Valentines Day would have to be the last 12. We make it a big family day and we cook what we call our “red” dinner where everything we eat has to be red, pink or purple even if it means we have to use food coloring. We make handmade cards for everyone in the family and exchange them as we eat by candlelight. It is my kids favorite day of the year and they talk about it for months in advance as we get all fancy and always have a fancy dessert too.

  18. My most memorable valentines day was when I dated a guy & purchased him some cologne and candy for his kids. He got me nothing, not even a $2 card. That ended that relationship. You can find cards that say happy valentines day for $1.00.

  19. Love, Love, Love your blog! So very inspiring!

Unfortunately, growing up my family never really made a big deal out of valentine’s day. Though I am hoping this year is really special since my boyfriend of 4 years, also long distance (unfortunately due to the economy and lack of real jobs) will be celebrating valentine’s day this year!

  20. I liked your facebook page.

My favorite Valentine’s memory was making a romantic candlelight dinner for my then boyfriend… now husband 🙂

  21. One of the years we lived in Seattle, we went to V-Day at the zoo. They had a fancy dinner and an “animal encounter” with this huuuuuge owl. Then we got home and my dog had eaten 2 pounds of chocolate while we were out. Memorable, for sure!
