It would be simple to pick the perfect paint color. My Colortopia is making it easier with My Image Inspiration. This handy new tool lets users upload any picture to pick colors out. I have been drooling over this pretty floral painting by Lulie Wallace, so I decided to use it as my inspiration.
I narrowed my search down to a small section of blues and greens. Deep Forest Pine looks like a lovely color. Shaded Fern is nice, too. I don’t know if I would have chosen these from a crowd of paint chips, but they’re really pretty.
The top pairing of Mossy Green with Homemade Butterscotch and Antique Beige is so pretty. With a few pops of blue or orange it would be divine.
Then I moved my box over the flowers, just to see what it would come up with.
Olivewood looks like a warm gray. I’ll have to check it out at the store. We’ll have painting a plenty in the new house.
Have you tried this tool yet? It’s fun to fiddle around with.
P.S. To get better results, make the selection box smaller.
I have been sponsored by Glidden brand paint to write this post but the thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.
What a great tool for those like me who are colored challenged!.. We know we like color but can’t put them together.. thank you! 🙂
I LOVE the Mossy Green/Butterscotch combo. Our new kitchen is mostly grayish and white so I’m trying to add touches of color while keeping it monotone – if that makes any sense! I found a cheap rug/mat that brings in all of the gray/tan/white tones and adds a tiny touch of orange too! (Pics of rug here: http://anexcellentadventure.blogspot.com/2012/02/some-finer-details.htm
Now I’m on the hunt for some fabric that I will eventually use to cover a window seat and some pillows in our kitchen!
