Raise your hand if you’re happy today is Friday. We’ve got a birthday party planned for a certain little boys I know.
A whole hand. I can’t believe it. We’re both getting so old. Haha. Sara GB should be pretty happy, too, because she’s the winner of the Norwex giveaway!
And now for a little drawerganizing. Because this house needs so much. When my blog BFF Jen and her adorable family visited in August, she brought me some adorable labels. Chalkboard labels for my spice jars, in fact.
So I peeled those puppies off the sheets and stuck ’em to my spice jars. Then they sat that way while I tracked down a chalk pen. Well, tried. After stopping at four different stores, all rumored to have said chalk pens, I gave up. Instead, I bought dry erase crayons, hoping they’d work.
Luckily, they did. No smudging or easy wear off, but clean off with water.
And now we know what spice we’re looking for right away. If only my handwriting were better. Though I do have the best writing in the house. Which isn’t a challenge considering I live with men. Haha.
Another quick drawerganization started at the thrift store. I spotted a chrome silverware divider for a buck ninety-nine. When I see cheap organizers, I try to find a use for it. Then it hit me, organize the friggin’ bathroom! At home, I plopped our toiletries, vitamins, toothbrushes, and toothpaste in there and it made me smile. Sure, it’s nothing fancy or super pretty, but we can fin what we’re looking for. That’s all that matters, right?

I couldn’t help but notice that your tooth brushes are not covered. Did you know that Norwex sells toothbrushes? They are awesome! Plus they come with a cover 😉 Oh, I think dollar stores sell toothbrush covers as well. That is on my list for the weekend. Get covers for the kids toothbrushes. Ok enough about covers! I really enjoy your blog! Can’t wait to see what you do with your backyard 🙂
I love those chrome silverware dividers. Whenever I see them cheap I snap them up too. Most recently I used them to organize the marker, pen, pencil drawer.
My mom just left after being here for almost a month after I had baby #3. She is an organizing fool so I got my pantry, a cabinet that had caught all kinds of junk that had a home but didn’t quite make it there, and two junk drawers organized and purged. It was awesome. Now, I want to organize my spices. I would live to have them down instead of above the stove where I lose track of them-did you get empty glass jars and then label them? Question 2: where did she get the chalk labels? I actually have the chalk pens, but they aren’t awesome. Maybe I need to try a different brand? I do have those dry-erase crayons, though, so I’ll go with them.

That’s so nice of your mom. Doesn’t it feel nice to have it all organized?
I love having a spice drawer instead of a cabinet. I bought jars at Hobby Lobby (in the glass section) at 50% off for a buck. I gave Jen the size and she used her Silhouette to make the labels. I know you can find sticky chalkboard labels on Etsy too so take a look there. And, the crayons work really well.
