Our Humble Sponsors: March

We’re halfway through March and keeping busy.  We’re happy to welcome two new sponsors to Our Humble A{Bowe}d.  First, Ali N. with Scentsy.  I’m sure you’ve heard of Scentsy.

The Linden Warmer Wrap and Loom Warmer Wrap are so chic and look like a decorative candle holder.

Just slip your favorite cover over the silhouette warmer and enjoy the soft glow.

Another new sponsor is on board, too.  Apartment B, a shop specializing in graphic and patterned window shades.

How fun is this Nautical Stripe shade?

And this Knife, Fork, and Spoon shade is adorable.

Their graphic shades include typographic maps and this London Bus Roll shade.

Scissors, Paper, Mouse is a little Australian based shop is filled with cute and colorful prints like Down the Rabbit Hole, perfect for Easter.

And Strength of My Love for You is a sappy daily reminder to your loved ones.

Of course, there are plenty more designs to choose from, so stop by the shop and show Yasmin some love.

Joseph Thompson Woodworks is another Etsy shop with cool kitchen gear. This big, beefy board is a perfect addition to any kitchen, adding function and style.

Of course we love the coasters, too.  These striped coasters are a new addition.

E-Meals, is an online meal planning site designed to save you loads of time and oodles of money.

E-Meals offers a variety of meal plan options including vegetarian, gluten-free, and low carb.

S and S Babee is continuing to support us, too.

S and S Babee is a small shop with hand sewn baby goodies. Jenna takes custom orders, so if you’re looking for something, give her a holler.

Last but not least, my blog bud Jen at IHeart Organizing is showing us some love.

Jen has re-released her all-inclusive Household Binder Kit, complete with three cover sheets and customized pages.

Don’t need a whole kit? Jen offers single pages, too, so stop in the shop and browse through the options.

Gimme a Giveaway Winner: Curiously Wrought & Inspiration

Well, we’ve got a winner of one custom Curiously Wrought art piece…Michele!

Michele hates the word flesh.  Like so many of you, I can’t stand the word moist.  Seriously people, can’t you just say damp?

And how about a round-up of my favorite recently pinned home items?  Why yes, that sounds like a great idea.  And yes, these are all inspiration for the new house.

West Elm’s Chester Tufted Sofa

Clean lines and reminiscent to the Chesterfield.  I’ll take one.  Or two.

Pottery Barn Teen’s Lattice Rug

I’ve wanted to add more patterns to our current house, so why not in the new house?

Premier Prints’ Suzani Fabric

Patterned curtains are also on my ‘must have for the new house’ list.

Restoration Hardware’s Steel Polyhedron Pendant

This is the first pendant Ben and I have actually agreed on.  Ever.  We can’t afford it, but maybe one of us can make something similar…

Rolled Paper Back Drop

We’ll probably have a few(!) bare walls, and this had me at hello.

Flor’s Mind Map in Putty

With a bigger house, we’ll also need more, and bigger rugs.  The want to put my toes on this rug.

West Elm’s Mercury Glass Pendant

Just pretty.  Either for a kitchen or in a bathroom.  Oh yes, I said bathroom.

Herringbone Tile Floors

Herringbone patterns are my weakness.  Fingers crossed I can convince Ben to install herringbone tile somewhere in the new house.

That’s where my head is at regarding the new house.  A little more sophisticated, less traditional, and sculptural.  Of course the new house will evolve just like our current house has.  Nothing is going to happen over night.  There’s no guarantee any of these specific items will make it through the front door, but it’s fun to dream and scheme.

Care to share your favorite recent pin?  Who’s excited to see the new house?

In a Colortopian World

It would be simple to pick the perfect paint color.  My Colortopia is making it easier with My Image Inspiration.  This handy new tool lets users upload any picture to pick colors out.  I have been drooling over this pretty floral painting by Lulie Wallace, so I decided to use it as my inspiration.

I narrowed my search down to a small section of blues and greens.  Deep Forest Pine looks like a lovely color.  Shaded Fern is nice, too.  I don’t know if I would have chosen these from a crowd of paint chips, but they’re really pretty.

The top pairing of Mossy Green with Homemade Butterscotch and Antique Beige is so pretty.  With a few pops of blue or orange it would be divine.

Then I moved my box over the flowers, just to see what it would come up with.

Olivewood looks like a warm gray. I’ll have to check it out at the store.  We’ll have painting a plenty in the new house.

Have you tried this tool yet?  It’s fun to fiddle around with.

P.S.  To get better results, make the selection box smaller.

I have been sponsored by Glidden brand paint to write this post but the thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.
