Recently, a lovely lady named Stacey contacted me asking if I would be interested in trying Shaklee’s all purpose cleaner. Knowing I had a whole house in desperate need of a thorough cleaning, I emphatically said yes! I’m happy to say it worked, but I know pictures speak louder than words. Well, if pictures could speak. Anyway, take a look at this picture of our kitchen cabinets before cleaning.
The cabinets are sans handles and the previous owner was physically unable to clean for quite some time. Therefore, we have grimy hand gunk build up in all the usual places.
Check out that grime. And after a good scrubbing with a sponge and my new friend Shaklee, it’s clean.
Well, as clean as it can be. Those dark spots are sticker residue from bumper pads.
Shaklee also helped clean our railings. Kind of looks like dark wood grain, right?
Wrong! It’s the same sticky stuff the cabinets had.
And after:
Thanks to Shaklee, I don’t feel the need to wear rubber gloves in my own house. Or ask for a wipe, Monk style. Though V and E could come in handy for that. Speaking of V and E, Shaklee is a safe, all natural cleaner, perfect for using around the family.
The Goods: A sample vial of Shaklee Basic H2 cleaner.

Follow you on facebook. I clean when I can’t take it anymore.

I need to get in a good cleaning pattern. Luckily it’s just the two of us but I tend to emphasize major weekend cleaning marathons before our parents come to visit over daily scrub downs. I hate that gunk on the cabinets, we had to clean that off too with toxic lemon pledge. This looks much better!

Follow you through Google Reader. I clean every day, but certainly more thoroughly if I know someone’s coming over. If people stop by, well, I’ve got four kids and we live here 🙂
I’d like to try the disinfecting wipes from her site.
I’m an email subscriber… and I hate cleaning but generally do it about once a week. I’ve tried breaking it into one room every day but I never get the same satisfaction of having the entire house completely spotless for at least one day. So instead I just do a general whole house “pick up” every night (like 20 minutes tops) and the whole house cleaning usually on Saturday morning.
Oops, forgot to mention that I’m a subscriber.
I definitely wipe down the kitchen counters almost every day.. and with two dogs and cat the vacuum sees the daily light.
I just subscribed… I clean when, uh, I get motivated??? So yeah, when people are coming over. 🙂
Subscriber! I’m cleaning something every day with 2 children and 4 boxers and a husband!
I’ve been wanting to try the scour off for months now!

I clean a little bit every day, but most of my hardcore cleaning is on the weekends unfortunately. It’s way too crazy during the week.
I follow you on Facebook. Also I obsessively check your website about 10 times per day, hoping for a new post. 🙂
I clean when the dirt, dust, crumbs, scum and grime become too much for me to handle. Then I go on a binge, which takes the better part of a weekend. Must. Be. Consistent.
I follow in google reader. That cleaner looks great! Yucky what you had to clean though. Ew, ew, ew. I clean every single day and it doesn’t seem to matter. I may or may not have yelled at my house this morning “WHY DO YOU HATE ME?!?” I’m not dramatic or anything….
I like Stacey on Facebook! Oh and by the way all of the other links are broken I think?
I’m a follower.
I’m more of a every 2 week major scrub down kind of person.
I follow your blog already! Love it!
Unfortunately I only really really clean when people are coming over. If it weren’t for the whole working full time and being a mom to a two year old thing, I would probably do it more often. My house is always “picked up” though. I don’t like tripping over toys so we clean up every day.
Oh man, I would want the whole Get Clean Kit! Oooh, or the year of water!
i’m a subscriber. i try and clean regularly, but it almost never happens with a newborn and a toddler in the midst of the terrible two’s!
I followed Stacey’s blog.

I’d like to try the get clean household mini kit
I follow via email! As much as I would love to say I clean everyday, our life just doesn’t allow that sometimes. I always keep the house tidy (everything picked up) so that’s it’s a cinch to get the house cleaned when I need to!
I “pickup” everyday .. but really clean on Saturdays
Daily!!
I subscribe!
I would like to try the Basic H2 concentrate or the wipes. Sounds like great cleaners! I try and clean whenever I have a minute but I do a lot more if I have visitors! 🙂

I follow you on Google Reader. True cleaning, for me, comes about once a week to a week-and-a-half. Oh! And, for the sticker residue, you could try a product called Goo Gone. That’s helped me out more than once!
I clean about every 2 weeks. It’s hard to do more than that for me
