Be Brave

I usually try to keep this blog home, improvement, and project related.  On occasion, personal life creeps in.  Today is one of those days.  My 24-year-old sister was diagnosed with stage 3a Melanoma Cancer in March.  Sadly, it seems everyone knows someone who is battling or has battled cancer.  In honor of the loved ones fighting this monster disease, I’ve created a Be Brave text bubble cut out.

Customize this art piece with a backing color of your choice.

We’re hosting a benefit to help my sister with her ever-increasing medical expenses.  All proceeds from the Be Brave text bubble cut outs will be donated to her fund on November 16th.

If you feel like shopping and helping a young lady recover, head over to the shop to get your own Be Brave piece.

  1. I am so sorry this awful disease has befallen your family. I am so tired of cancer. I am a survivor of stage 4 Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, and a very dear friend of mine is a survivor of stage 4 melanoma. I have no doubt that your sister will move forward and kick ass too! In the mean time, I will keep her tucked safely in my thoughts.

    1. Hi Malibou!!

Oh, I am so sorry to hear you’ve had personal experience with this terrible disease. But, I’m beyond thrilled to hear your (and your friend’s) survivor stories! You are tough! Way to show cancer it sucks. 🙂 Thank you so much for your positive thoughts, too!! You’re wonerful!

      Thanks!

  2. I’m so sorry to hear this news – I can’t even imagine what you are going through but you and your family are in my thoughts. She is obviously blessed with a wonderful sister.

  3. Praying for your family and your sister. Of all the aspects of treatment from my breast cancer, the financial hardships were some of the most difficult. Hoping you all have a successful fundraiser and that it gives her a good cushion for not just medical expenses, but all other expenses which seem to pile up during these difficult times.
